Encounter Retreat

It was an awesome weekend for me last week. Especially during the Encounter Retreat. Frankly speaking, I believe everything that I've been through during the retreat was ordained by God. I was not suppose to be at the retreat, only until I was ask to go and help out in one of the session, which is deliverance. I have no intention of attend any session if it was not to help out.  So i took 'leave' on Friday, and attended the session, learning and hearing about what is deliverance is all about. From learning and hearing, we were ask to put it into actions and begin to pray for the youth who are part of the retreat. And Praise God, many were set free and I stand amazed at what God had done for that one session.

On the second day, I responded to the altar call myself as much as i know my job is to pray for the young people there. But something inside of my told me to respond. I felt a sense to the love of God and yet also the sense of my unworthiness and self-condemnation. And as i was being prayed for, suddenly I felt a deep pain in my heart and i start losing my balance and i felt something in me was coming out. Not knowing that all the past hurts, insecurity and also a low self image was deeply buried in my heart that I thought I had already overcome it , but the truth is; it was deeply buried inside of my heart. I was reconciled with my brother and with myself, and also God on that very day. After doing all those, I felt such sense of freedom and liberty. And I can now understand how those people in the bible who had been set free feels. It was liberating. It was an awesome sensational feeling. You don't really care what people think about you, but all you want to do is to give God all the praise and glory.

Conclusion of the past the 2 days retreat. I've learn a lot about deliverance, the authority that we have in Christ and altar ministry. Altar call is really more than just praying a pray over our youths when they come before God with the struggles and sins, but really knowing our authority in Christ because of the finish work of Calvary that we can break the chains and stronghold of the enemies over this generations of young people. I understand it now because I myself was gloriously set free by the power of God. Of course not to the  extreme of every altar call we must be casting demons. It require the discerning of spirits.

Freedom belong to those who wants to be set free because Jesus already won the battle for us. And the only thing that stop us from being set free is ourselves. I humbled myself before God, and that is why i received my freedom. THANK YOU JESUS!!! =)

Liberated,

Change

Last week was a week full of change for me....

I have change;

- From wearing spectacles to contact HARD LENSES.. (*cry*)
- From sleeping in my usual room back to study room.. (My brother together with his 'army' of 5 are temporary staying at our place for 4 months before they move in to their new home)
- All my books and shirts and everything that is in my room are shifted to a little corner outside my room. (*Disoriented*)
- From nothing to eat at home to lots of things to eat! (Yipee)
- No more personal toilet to use. Don't know which toilet to use sometimes!!! (*misery*)
- No more privacy  because MY DADS ALWAYS USE THE STUDY ROOM!!!!!  (*SOB*)

Well, somehow just with this few changes in my routine and daily motions of life, i become disoriented because it was a sudden change. And I realize sometimes we have been doing things the same old routine way, and we get comfortable. But when God came in and intervene and make changes, we get disoriented and we become uncomfortable (Just like the pharisees). Well.. I believe sometime we cannot always remain the same and not accept changes. Change is good, but with balance,  Because it will not put us in a place of comfort, and cause us to move and work.

Well, if in life and our walk with God ever get comfortable, i would suggest it is a time for a change. Until you have finally come to the place of rest in God and fulfill everything that He have install for you life, we have to keep on moving.

Get ready for some change!! =)

Generations Recording 2008

On the 31st May 2008, our very first and own Generations live album and recording was a success! You may ask in what way successful? I feel that it was a success because God's presences was strong in our midst. More than just the technicality and the professionalism, or even the people's approval, the most important thing of the whole recording is God have approved us and accepted our worship with His provision of finance and His presence. I thank God for a great time of worship we can have together as a ministry.

My prayer is Generations will be a place known not for anything else but a place of God's Glory and His Presence. We do not just want the form, but also the power. Let it be. =)

My First Entry

Dearest Readers,

This is my first entry using a LiveJournal. Never really use a Blog before other than Multiply.

Many youth these days blog to express their feelings and thoughts on the inside of them. Somehow they have substitute the way of communicating from opening themselves to the people who are close to them to share their thoughts and feelings, to closing themselves up and vent all their emotions, feelings  and views, even to the extent of helpless struggles that is inside of them to the entire virtual and unknown world. And people who read their blogs will be somehow affected or even pity that person, and we will feel sorry for that person etc etc..

Well, if the world can use this technology of  'Online Blogging' to influence and voice their pitiable views and feelings, why not use it for the good? Why read things that will cause you to be depressed and make yourself feel so pitiful or how lousy you are? Because the fact is this, the more negative message we read and take in, our being will naturally respond and work in the way that is negative.

- Your Thought
- Your Speech
- Your Behavior
- Your Senses
- Your Emotions
-  Even Your Physical Body.

It is proven that people get sick or terminally ill because of all the negative thought, speech, behavior, senses, emotions. So feed yourself with the positive things in life. I am not saying that you can't get upset or anything like that, but out from these negatives emotions, allow the positive to shine! That what makes us Christian different. Jesus said, "In this word surely you will have tribulation, trials & suffering. But be of good cheer, for I have already overcome the world." You can't escape the toil and sufferings of this world, but your positive attitude can make a big difference in this negative world because you know there is a Hope in that One whom we believe in. And what the world need right now is this piece good news, a hope in Jesus!!

If you ever blog, do blog things that people will be encouraged. Share things that are uplifting and inspiring. This world that we live in is already very negative, it won't help by letting people read your sad story, because in the newspaper and news program is more than enough. If you need help, go to someone whom you can share and solve your problem. Because there are more people who are suffering at a worst state than we are in. If we can just open our eyes and see, there is a bigger problem out there compare to our small little pity party.

The darker the world we are in right now, the brighter we can shine in any means. It can be blogging, funding, muscle labor, walking the talk.
